I would expect to fail an interview if I tell them I want to know more about the costs or sth similar as they just ask to increase "revenue" in the Case. An interviewer would tell me that I did not listen well.

I would recommend you not to afraid to ask clarification questions because it really influences the way you answer. Usually, the interviewer will repeat all the details if you ask to do it.
