How can i improve my leadership story?
In my current role as an Engagement Manager at X, I was tasked with leading a diverse team of individuals from practice leads to junior engineers on engagement that was having trouble as the client was frustrated with the current team's progress and they requested the change of the manager, My task was to not only ensure the project's success but also build trust and cohesion among team members who hadn't worked closely together before in a very short time and they need to love me and listen to me while I was actually the youngest. To earn the trust of my team, I first fostered open communication within the team. I held regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and ideas and also met them to have a friendly relationship too and that required me to travel to few cities to be able to meet them in personal and we had a good time and discussion on various topics, encouraging everyone to voice their opinions and concerns. How can i improve my leadership story?
Overview of answers

And I can't know how well it sounds when you actually deliver it live.
But based on the version you wrote here, I would make lots of changes, such as:
- Becoming more specific. You need to have actual people with names in the story, give a sense of what they said and did and what you said and did in response
- Show how you worked independently and collectively with the team. Literally, how you coached the individual members but also the collective team
- Exhibit the transformation of going from diversity being a liability to being an asset - this is a crucial element of the dimension. How diversity was causing problems in the beginning, but through your input as a leader it ended up the core driver of success
Do reach out if you have follow-up questions on these and happy to also discuss further in more detail.
I've actually just launched a PEI video course that goes in detail through each dimension, with recorded examples of stories told in interviews and a ‘StoryBuilder’ tool to help you develop your own. Here it is:
